Yearbook



Throughout the year, members of this staff produce the Sentinel, Fort LeBoeuf's annual yearbook. They develop the annual theme, design layouts, organize and take pictures, write copy, assemble the book using digital software, solicit sponsors, and assist with sales and distribution. This memory book will highlight and commemorate the events of the school year.

Meetings:  Yearbook staff meets every Wednesday during tutorial.  However, they frequently work on creating the yearbook throughout the school year.

  • also solicit sponsorship from outside of the school to maintain enough funds to publish the Sentinel.

Career Preparation:  In addition to gaining photojournalism skills, students will gain valuable interpersonal skills as they work as part of a team to bring the book to production. They will learn the importance of meeting deadlines, maintaining focus on a common goal, paying attention to details, and accepting constructive criticism. All of these skills will be important to master, regardless of the career field chosen.
