Mock Trial is an Academic Sport where students get to choose parts of lawyers and/or witnesses. In the fall, a handout is provided to each team with the details to a fictional court case. The packet includes, witness statements, background information, evidence, etc. The students use the information to build a case for the prosecution as well as the defense. The students also familiarize themselves with the rules of the courtroom. After months of practice, the students compete against other schools.
Any student in grades 10-12 are welcome to join. Students must be available after school to practice.
