The celebration features performances from the FLB Vocal Ensemble, the FLB Jazz Band, and the FLB Concert Band with Mr. Gilson. Mr. Munsee hosts “The Bridge Crush” Competition and his CADD students will provide demonstrations of their software. Ms. Ciacchini’s Foods classes prepare delicious treats to serve all guests attending the celebration. Mr. Strimel’s Woodworking students will display both finished and in-progress furniture designs.
Students from all of Ms. Peters’ visual arts classes will be represented in the student art exhibition. The exhibit will also feature a display of work from each AP Studio Art student. Programs, silkscreened posters and T-shirts display each year’s winning “Celebrate the Arts” logo and are designed by a student and chosen by National Art Honor Society students. The student art exhibition will be located in the gym lobby and new auditorium lobby gallery and in showcases throughout the school.
Note: The
new auditorium lobby gallery was created in the fall of 2012 to create a
special gathering place outside the auditorium theater. Design elements of the gallery were designed
and fabricated by Mr. Rimpa, Mr. Strimel, Mr. Munsee, and the Maintenance Staff
of Fort LeBoeuf School District. The
gallery has yet to be dedicated with a name, but there are hopes to dedicate in
honor of someone special to the arts at Fort LeBoeuf. The gallery will hold several exhibitions
throughout the year, showcasing the work of current students, alumni, and local
artists.
Please come and join us each year to support and “celebrate” the arts programs and the talented students at Fort LeBoeuf High School. For more information, contact the Art Department at 796-2616.
